CANADIANA
Written By: Cecil MacDougall (June10/03)

I am true blue Canadian
I have seen those northern lights
Nanaimo was really something
I love those warm Montreal nights
I've been to the C.N.E. in T.O.
I still have friends on the Miramichi
There's really nothing like her
The home of the maple leaf

I watched the tide rise on the Fundy
Walked in the sand of the Magdalen
The Okanagan is a piece of Eden
Gros Morne took my breath away
I stood on top of Kelly's Mountain
Where the east coast meets the sea
There's really nothing like her
The home of the maple leaf

Canada is my home
Halifax is the city where I live
We're a nation of compassion
It's not our way to take
It's our way to give

So before you criticize her
Let me be your reminder
This is my home
There is really nothing like her
I truly love her amazing grace

From Winnipeg to the foothills
Is our heartland in the west
I've walked the streets of St. John's
I've seen Charlottetown at her best
I've prayed to Jesus at the Shrine of St. Anne
Followed the trail of Evangeline
You know there is really nothing like her
The home of the maple leaf

I am true blue Canadian
I have seen those northern lights
Nanaimo was really something
I love those warm Montreal nights
I've been to the C.N.E. in T.O.
I still have friends on the Miramichi
There is really nothing like her
The home of the maple leaf

Beinvenue mon ami
Vive le Canada
Beinvenue mon ami
